Roles, members & duration

The Advisory Committee helps to determine the theme of the conference and assesses and advises on session proposals both regarding content, format and speakers. It also supports the EHFG team with suggestions on potential sponsors and advice on the future developments and engagements of the EHFG.

The Advisory Committee is made up of individual, institutional and temporary members.

Individual members are invited on the basis of their expertise and potential contribution to the EHFG. As such, they participate in a personal capacity and are not representing any particular organisation or stakeholder group.

Institutional members use their expertise to represent their organisation. Institutional memberships are currently designated to representatives of the European Commission, the World Health Organization Regional Office for Europe, the Young Forum Gastein and the European Health Forum Gastein Board.

Temporary members are appointed for the duration of one year on the basis of their expertise on the main theme of the EHFG conference.

For individual and institutional members, the Advisory Committee “term” has a duration of three years, after which the Committee is dissolved and a new Committee immediately appointed, which may include members who have previously served as experts. All members of the Advisory Committee are nominated by the President of the EHFG who has the right to withdraw the nomination if necessary.
