Advisory committee
Nicoline has been working in the field of European health policy and research in various capacities over the past 25 years. As Co-ordinating Advisor International Affairs she is currently based at the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM), the Netherlands. Previous posts included work on European policy and health systems research at the Nuffield Institute for Health in Leeds (UK), the co-ordination of cross-national efforts on integrated local HIV/AIDS policies for WHO Europe, and international affairs at the Netherlands Institute for Care and Welfare. Nicoline is president of EuroHealthNet. Her longstanding involvement in the European health community is also reflected in earlier membership of the European Health Forum Gastein Advisory Committee (2002-2013) and the European Health Management Association (EHMA) Board. A social scientist by training, she contributed to a wide range of EU-funded projects, e.g. on health systems reforms, management of integrated care, access to health services, and health equity. She has published extensively on EU health policy.
