F7 FORUM
Organised by the World Health Organization Regional Office for Europe
‘Better health for Europe’ across the 53 countries in the WHO European Region is our common priority. Collective efforts are needed in order to sustain the health gains that have been made so far, and to ensure the highest attainable standard of health, as one of the fundamental rights of every human being across countries and populations. An overarching goal for the post-2015 agenda should recognise health as a critical contributor to, and outcome of, sustainable development. the unfinished agenda of the MDGs, universal health coverage, non-communicable diseases and sexual and reproductive health and rights should be addressed in the future development framework.
Health 2020: the European policy for health and well-being, with its framework for action across government and society, will lay the ground for implementing this new vision.
