Innovation Round-Table

The Innovation Round-Table is a new pilot project of the Gastein Forum, which took place as a pre-conference event to the EHFG 2017 conference. The project gathered twenty high-level experts from the field of innovation, health industry, health policy and practice, opening a platform for discussion about the role and use of innovation in healthcare.

The mixture of the ‘old’ and the ‘new’ participants introduced new perspectives and inputs on the already present topic of innovation in health: the panel suggested new market regulations which would work in favour of innovation, as well as the need for integration and interoperability. It was accentuated that health should be approached holistically, and that the innovation must be implemented with well-designed strategy both in products and services.

The round-table was a very successful event, generating interest along all four EHFG pillars, and the project will continue with its development in the next cycle.
