Sonja Wehsely

Sonja Wehsely is Executive Vice President at Siemens Healthineers and Managing Director for Central Eastern Europe and Turkey. She is responsible for overall business success across all segments in 21 countries. She assumed this position following a three-year engagement as Head of Strategy, Business Development, Government Affairs & Policy for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region at Siemens Healthineers in Germany. In this position she transferred Siemens Healthineers strategy to the region´s specific environment in order to significantly promote sustainable growth in the EMEA region. From 2004-2017 Sonja Wehsely successfully acted as City Councilor for Health and Social Affairs and prior to that for Integration, Women’s Affairs, Consumer Protection and Human Resources in the Vienna Regional Government aiming constant improvements in quality of life for the residents. She holds a Master’s Degree in Law from the University of Vienna.
