Session 9
Wednesday, 1 October 2025 | 12:15-13:30 | Kursaal
Five years on, the European Health Union is taking shape, not through institutions alone, but through the strength of networks that connect expertise, experience, and purpose across the Union. This session will show how EU health networks break silos across sectors and society, turning the European Health Union vision into action.
Experts from the European Commission Directorate-General for Health and Food Safety, the Health Security Committee, the European Medicines Shortages Steering Group, the One Health AMR network, and the Health Union Fellowship will share how, through collaboration, networks are building a stronger, more united Health Union.
The panel will explore key questions including: What forms of cross-sectoral collaboration are essential to address both current and future challenges? How can we enhance coordination to effectively tackle cross-border threats? How can the EU enhance equitable access to critical medicines? Can we create a network of next-generation EU health leaders to drive innovation and cooperation forward? Is the One Health approach effectively addressing AMR?
