The digital transformation of healthcare in Europe

Challenges and opportunities for the European medicines regulatory network

Thursday, 26 September 2024 | 12:15-13:30 | Kursaal

Organised by the European Medicines Agency

The European medicines regulatory network (EMRN) has already made plans to ensure the digital transformation of the regulatory health space over the next ten years. The “Data Analysis and Real World Interrogation Network” (DARWIN EU), a federated network established by the European Medicines Agency (EMA) and EMRN, delivers real-world evidence from across Europe on diseases, populations and the uses and performance of medicines. It is in its third year of onboarding data partners and supporting the regulatory network with data analytics, and is paving the way for the European Health Data Space (EHDS). Partners of the EMRN are preparing for increased use of Artificial Intelligence and machine learning during all phases of medicines development while undergoing digital transformation themselves.

Join us for this session to debate with key stakeholders how Europe is putting data and digital at the heart of its future activities. Share your views on the critical success factors that are needed to unlock the full digital potential of EMRN. Discuss the challenges and opportunities in working together to achieve the digital transformation of healthcare in Europe.
