The purpose of the workshop is to inform participants about the Third EU Health Programme, its main goals, objectives and funding instruments, as well as its implementation. The Third multi-annual programme of EU action in the field of health is part of the EU's Multi-Annual Financial Framework for 2014-2020 with a budget of 446 million Euro over seven years.

This workshop is part of the 17th European Health Forum Gastein conference which has received funding from the European Union, in the framework of the Health Programme (2008-2013).
