Young Gastein

Young Gastein Network

The Young Forum Gastein initiative is a joint project of the EHFG and the European Commission (DG 'Health and Consumers', DG `Information Society and Media` and DG 'Research and Innovation') aimed at young researchers and officials from Member States of the European Union who work in the field of health.

The purpose of the initiative is to introduce promising young decision-makers and experts to the Gastein process – bridging the gap between research and policy-making and facilitating learning and networking.

The applicants for the Young Forum Gastein are nominated by their superior in the National Ministries of Health, Public Health Institutes or Universities. The Scholarship Committee examines the submitted applications in order to reach agreement on the Young Forum Gastein scholars under the premises of balanced participation (1) from countries, (2) representatives of science and administration and (3) alumni and newcomers.

By applying for the Young Gastein Scholarship the applicant confirms his/her availability to undertake an active role before and during the conference.

The Young Forum Gastein Call 2012 is closed! Applicants will receive a mail about the selection outcome.
