The social programme for the EHFG 2008 includes the following offers:
- Venice
Visit with us the ‘Queen of the seas’. Venice makes you a believer in fairy tales. The only way to get around the 1,500 year-old city is by foot or by water. From the vantage points, you'll be awed by the magical beauty of the city. La Serenissima, ‘the most serene one’, is filled with palaces and art, fine shopping and excellent food. Relax in Piazza San Marco, visit the basilicas, drink a bellini at Harry's Bar and wander the alleyways and bridges (tour subject to minimum number of participants).
- Innsbruck
The Capital of the Alps was twice host of the Olympic Winter Games (1964 and 1976) and has a history of 800 years. With its medieval center the city offers art treasures and is famous for buildings such as the Golden Roof – Innsbruck's greatest tourist attraction and certainly its most characteristic landmark, the Imperial Palace and St. Anna’s Colume. It combines tradition and modernity: city strolls and mountaineering, Baroque operas and folklore music, tuxedos and Lederhosen.
- Salzburg and its historic district – an unique treasure
The city of Salzburg, in particular, its historic district represents one of the most beautiful spots on earth. This has been internationally recognized through the inauguration as UNESCO World Cultural Heritage in 1997. Explore the beauty of Salzburg with a guided tour through historic roads and enchanted alleys.
- Alpentherme Gastein – the easy way to well-being
Leave daily life behind and just drift away – nothing easier than that in the six adventure and wellness worlds of Alpentherme Gastein. Your individual wellness needs are met to perfection. Whether you are looking for fun, quiet or physical activity – you're bound to discover worlds of opportunities.
- Additional trips will allow you to explore the surroundings of Bad Hofgastein: the Großglockner – Austria’s highest mountain, the unique Mountain Health Gallery, a walking tour through Bad Hofgastein and to the “Krimmler” Waterfalls. You will also be able to enjoy a morning hike.
