The second EHFG took place from 6th to 9th October 1999. Over 300 experts coming from various sectors of health policy - science, economy, industry, politics, patient organisations - attended the event to discuss the topic "Health and Social Security" and to create visions to shape the future of health policy in Europe.
In six parallel fora issues such as the quality of care, equity, the role of technology, research on rare diseases and the impact of biotechnology.
